Oft ist der Tenor zweifelnd, wenn nicht ablehnend. Die Islamwissenschaft sieht sich hier geradezu aufgerufen, ihre Einsichten in diese Debatten einzubringen. Wie kaum ein anderes Fach muss sie stetig den eigenen Standort bestimmen, ja oft ein regelrechtes Bekenntnis zu diesem Standort ablegen. Die Vorlesungsreihe greift Themen auf, die auch unter Muslimen umstritten sind und permanent ausgehandelt werden. Sie möchte einerseits einen Einblick in geläufige Themen der islamwissenschaftlichen Forschung geben und dabei andererseits aktuelle Debatten aufgreifen, die in der medialen und politischen Öffentlichkeit in Umlauf sind. Dabei sollen vor allem die Unterschiedlichkeit und Strittigkeit der Positionen zur Geltung kommen, die mit Bezug auf „den Islam“ formuliert werden. Kulturen SS 2011 ***************************************************** Osteuropäische Kulturen in einer multipolaren Welt Vortragsreihe des Instituts für Slawistik mit dem Osteuropa-Institut der FU, dem Institut für Slawistik der Universität Potsdam und dem Collegium Hungaricum Berlin Nach zwei postsozialistischen Dekaden hat sich Osteuropa in einem zuvor nicht absehbaren Ausmaß verändert. Wir begegnen einer Eigendynamik von Wandlungsprozessen, die die Osteuropaforschung vor neue empirische und theoretische Herausforderungen stellen. Forschungsansätze, die die postsozialistischen Entwicklungen als eine geradlinige Transformation vom gescheiterten sowjetischen Gesellschaftsexperiment zu einem demokratischen System verstanden, haben sich als zu normativ erwiesen. Sie sind ungeeignet, die historische Eigendynamik der Veränderungen der Region zu beschreiben. In den verschiedensten wissenschaftlichen Disziplinen lässt sich eine Umorientierung in der jeweils fachspezifischen Konzeptualisierung Osteuropas beobachten, deren theoretische Referenzparadigmen (Transnationalismusforschung, Global studies, Postcolonial .tudies, Migrations- und Diversitätsforschung, Urban studies) eine genuin interdisziplinäre Perspektivik aufweisen. Die Vortragsreihe will diesen Prozess einer Neudefinition Osteuropas als Forschungsgegenstand reflektieren. Ihr interdisziplinärer Zuschnitt soll dazu beitragen, den fachübergreifenden Dialog über ein aktuelles Profil von Osteuropastudien zu schärfen. Besondere Aufmerksamkeit soll dem wechselseitigen Verhältnis von realen Bedingungen und imaginativen Konstrukten (des historischen und) des heutigen Osteuropa gewidmet werden. Drei thematische Aspekte stehen im Vordergrund: 1) eine Neupositionierung des osteuropäischen Raums in einer globalen Welt, die einen bis in die Aufklärung zurückreichenden Dualismus eines aufgeklärten und ‚modernen’ Westens und eines zurück gebliebenen Ostens Europas überwindet; 2) die Untersuchung veränderter Identitätsmuster und Zugehörigkeiten im postsozialistischen Osteuropa im Zeichen von Migration, globaler Populärkultur und neuen Medien; 3) eine Neuverortung Osteuropas im historischen Horizont soziokultureller Moderne, die tradierte Konzeptionen Osteuropas als Hinterhof der Zivilisierungsgeschichte revidiert und zugleich die zeitgenössischen erinnerungspolitischen Rekonfigurationen historischer Ereignisse kritisch reflektiert. Die Ausstellung „Juni 1941 – Der tiefe Schnitt“ stellt 24 Menschen vor, für die dieses Datum auf sehr unterschiedliche Weise zur biografischen Zäsur wurde. Exemplarisch zeigt sich so die Bandbreite von Schicksalen auf sowjetischer wie auch auf deutscher Seite. Die Ausstellung des DeutschRussischen Museum BerlinKarlshorst eröffnet am 16.
